– Key Stage 3
(KS3) is the legal term for the two/three years of schooling that takes place in secondary schools in England and Wales and is known as Years 7 to Year 9 (although some schools will end KS3 in Y8). Pupils are aged between 11 and 14. Pupils build on the concepts taught to them in primary school and a larger number of subjects are introduced into the timetable.
